CBDistillery Review
Intro
Even though CBD is widely recognized for its medicinal and healing powers, it is still not completely legal in all states. Because of this, the market is unregulated and those who try to shop for products online may come across mixed information and products that are not as safe and effective as they claim to be. In order to help those in need find the highest quality products possible, we provide honest reviews of CBD online retailers. This review will be for the company CBDistillery.
About
The CBDistillery was founded by a group of Colorado natives looking to provide high quality hemp to those in need. All their plants are consistently tested to make sure they meet the company’s high standards. Plants are grown outdoors under natural sunlight with organic practices that have not been USDA certified.
All CBD Distillery products are third party tested and verified for potency and purity.
In addition to selling their products directly through their web the company provides their products to a number of retail stores throughout the U.S. They also offer their customers the option to buy wholesale.
Mission
The company has launched the #CBDMOVEMENT campaign which promotes their mission to provide access, education research and testimonials to those who wish to find out more about and benefit from CBD products.

Manufacturing Process
Unfortunately, I could not find any section on CBDistillery’s web site that spoke specifically about how they manufacture their products. As stated above, they do claim to consistently test their plants to make sure they meet their high standards and grow plants outdoors under natural sunlight using organic practices. They later send their products for third party testing. However, this does not explain their extraction methods.
Upon closer inspection, when clicking on their isolate product category, it does mention that these products are CO2 extracted. However, this is the only product to earn such a distinction. In fact, the tinctures are labeled as ‘extracted hemp oil’.
This is all a bit concerning considering there have been some Reddit threads questioning the quality and make up of CBDistillery products mainly in that they have been smelling funny. Though there was some response from the company regarding this issue and acknowledgement that this may have been the case, there was no clear resolution to the matter.
It should be mentioned that the site does provide an article regarding the manufacturing processes and extraction methods for CBD in their blog. Here they cite ethanol and CO2 extraction as two of the cleanest and most commonly used methods used. However, it doesn’t say anywhere in the article that these are the methods used by the company.
Ingredients
The only mention of ingredients I found on CBDistillery products were listed under their isolates. Here, they mentioned: Anhydrous hemp oil, no other active ingredients.

Pros and Cons
There are a number of pros and cons regarding the CW company. Here are some things to consider before making a purchasing decision.
Pros:
- Good selection of products.
- Low prices.
Cons:
- Lab reports were difficult to find. Although the company stated they could be found beneath the product pictures, I could only find them when I googled ‘CBDistillery lab reports’ which took me to a link on a different site.
- Oil reported to smell funny.
- Manufacturing process is questionable.
- Site is confusing in layout.
- According to other Reddit threads, when customers called customer service to discuss questionable products, service was not satisfactory.
Conclusion
Despite the Reddit threads, CBDistillery has been gaining some recognition as a trusted CBD provider. However, these reviews questioning its quality and ingredients are a bit worrying. With several other options available for the purchase of CBD products, I would avoid buying from this retailer, at least until this concern blows over. The odd smell may be due to some bad batches or an experimental method the team brought in, but better safe than sorry!
